Benny Goodman
Benny Goodman (Benjamin David Goodman, né Benő Guttman) né le 30 mai 1909 à Chicago et mort le 13 juin 1986 à New York, est un clarinettiste, compositeur, et chef d'orchestre de big band jazz américain, surnommé « The King of Swing » (le Roi du Swing) depuis The Famous 1938 Carnegie Hall Jazz Concert, avec un des big bands de swing international les plus emblématiques de l'ère du jazz.

American jazz trumpeter who came to fame mainly through playing with Benny Goodman, then struck out on his own as a band leader at the age of 23. Played his last show just nine days before his death.

Lionel Hampton
Lionel Hampton est un vibraphoniste, pianiste et batteur de jazz américain né le 20 avril 1908 à Louisville, et mort le 31 août 2002 à New York.
Surnommé « The lion », il a été le premier géant du jazz à donner ses lettres de noblesse au vibraphone en tant qu'instrument soliste. Ses interprétations se caractérisent par une grande virtuosité. Il était aussi un habile pianiste (Piano Stomp en 1937 où il joue de l'instrument avec seulement deux doigts) et pratiquait aussi la batterie (Jack the Bellboy, 1940).
Martha Tilton
Martha Tilton, née le 14 novembre 1915 à Corpus Christi (Texas) et morte le 8 décembre 2006 à Los Angeles (Californie), est une chanteuse de l'époque du swing aux États-Unis. Elle se fait connaître en 1939 avec son titre And the Angels Sing enregistré avec l'orchestre de Benny Goodman.
