Biographie
Stephen Richard Hackett est un guitariste de rock progressif britannique né le 12 février 1950 à Pimlico. Membre de Genesis de 1971 à 1977, il entame dès 1975 une carrière solo qui se poursuit au début du XXIe siècle. Son jeu de guitare électrique est basé sur un son éthéré, expérimental (il est l'un des pionniers du tapping), favorisant l'harmonie et la musicalité plutôt que la démonstration technique. Il développe un univers sonore poétique, décalé et onirique très particulier. Il est aussi connu pour son jeu de guitare classique.
