Biography
Valerie's Garten is a German girl group.
The group made a name for themselves in 1992 with ‘Nächstes Mal am Ende der Welt’, a song written by Achim Oppermann. The trio, who were compared to Wilson Phillips, made television appearances. After releasing a few singles, the members went their separate ways as the group was no longer commercially successful.
Michaela Ahlrichs, the lead singer, who had previously had a career as a singer with the band Karrens Key in the 1980s, began a solo career under the name Ela. Under the name Michaela, she took part in the German national selection for the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest. The other two singers, Doris Gellhaus and Stefanie Lügger, formed the duo The Geenies and released pop songs in English; Stefanie Lügger also worked on numerous projects with Ralf Bieler under the name Lillid and produced songs in German.
