Career

Belsunce Breakdown (2000)

In 2000, he wrote the song ‘Belsunce Breakdown’, the title track from the soundtrack to the film Comme un aimant, which spent several weeks in the charts in France and Belgium. The song was also certified gold. Bouga explains: “For this track, ‘Belsunce Breakdown’,… I gathered all the little phrases that came to mind throughout the day whilst thinking about my neighbourhood, which I’d jotted down on scraps of paper. When Akhenaton (the lead singer of IAM) asked me to do something for the soundtrack of his film, Comme un Aimant, I strung those little phrases together and that became the track.”
