Too often overlooked by the general public and even by music enthusiasts, the French progressive rock scene is held in lower regard than its continental counterparts, particularly those from Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. Yet, even beyond the flagship acts such as Magma and Ange, French progressive rock offers music of undeniable quality, rich diversity and endearing originality. It is by navigating the twists and turns of this universe, following the more or less obscure paths traced by the discography, that this book sets out to tell this story. The story of a remarkable musical heritage dating back to the heyday of progressive rock, which continues to evolve to this day.
