Thompson Twins est un groupe new wave britannique formé en 1977 et séparé en 1993. Son nom est une référence aux personnages Dupond et Dupont créés par Hergé qui sont appelés Thomson and Thompson en version anglaise.
Il connaît son heure de gloire durant les années 1980, notamment au Royaume-Uni et aux États-Unis où la formation anglaise bénéficiait d'une grande renommée, avec ses titres phares Love On Your Side, Lies, Hold Me Now, Doctor! Doctor!, You Take Me Up et Lay Your Hands On Me.
